What is The Kiso Method?
Kiso in Japanese means the "foundation of internal energy". The two characters that make up kiso are "Ki" which means ki energy, like the word found in "Aikido" and the second character is "so" or foundation. The Kiso method is a total system of health, that focuses on restoring health by reducing the "blocks" that hinder our bodies ability to maintain perfect health. These blocks reside in the spine. Our spines are perfectly designed to be manipulated from the outside. These "blocks" in the spine not only cause pain and muscle spasm but an imbalance in our parasympathetic/sympathetic nervous systems as well as our cranial/sacral system.
The Kiso Method, founded by Dr. Craig Zion Cain, D.C., is presented in the book, " Structual Alignment" made up of two manuals. Both manuals have a force-non force method depending on whether or not you are a chiropractor or an acupuncturist. Kiso Method Manual One is for the low back, pelvis and thoracic spine and teaches the practitioner or student how to alleviate pain and muscle spasm from disc injuries that effect the sciatic nerve. It also focuses on hip and pelvis alignments. This healing technique also teaches you how to get rid of pain brought about by a decrease in nerve flow, caused by subluxation, that results in numbness, tingling and muscle spasm along the nerve. Kiso Method Manual Two focuses on the cranio sacral system and associated para-sympathetic/ sympathetic nervous system disorders. It also teaches the practitioner how to alleviate pain down the brachial nerve plexus due to disc pressures and how to release muscle spasm caused by nerve irritation. Both manuals come with a DVD for your personal instruction. Dr. Cain also offers healing seminars for chiropractors and seminars for acupuncturists, check our website for future events! Dr. Cain currently practices in Hawaii in the city of Hilo, please contact us if you have any questions.
